Personiva is backed by leading venture capital firm, Draper Fisher Jurvetson (DFJ) and several prominent individual investors. Based in Menlo Park, California, DFJ’s portfolio includes companies like Skype, Baidu, Overture and Hotmail.
Yogesh Sharma
CO-FOUNDER & CEO
Yogesh is a successful media and entertainment entrepreneur. As Personiva’s CEO, he helps define the company's mission, manage its fast growth, recruit top talent in multiple locations worldwide, guide its technology and product development, and establish strong relationships across the industry. Prior to Personiva, he was the co-founder and editor-in-chief of siliconindia, a magazine, web site, and events company for South Asian professionals worldwide with over 500,000 regular users. Before siliconindia, he was a television director and producer in India where he directed over 400 prime-time television shows. He holds a BA in Physics and a MA in Philosophy from Delhi University.
Sanjay Sharma
CO-FOUNDER & PRESIDENT
Sanjay drives Personiva’s creative direction and the delivery of its products and services. Sanjay Sharma has 20 years of experience in India's film and television industry, producing and directing films, documentaries, national live event coverage, game shows, fictional and non-fictional TV series and corporate films. Over the span of his career he has produced over 75 Documentary and Educational films. He has worked for or provided content to top media and entertainment companies in India, including Sony Entertainment Television, Zee Television, Star TV Network and The Times of India Group. Immediately prior to co-founding Personiva, Sanjay was the Executive Producer of the Indian version of "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" and also produced a feature film. He holds a MA in Visual Media from Mass Communications Research Centre, Delhi.
Josh Stein
MANAGING DIRECTOR, DRAPER FISHER JUVERTSON
Josh is a Managing Director at Draper Fisher Jurvetson where he focuses on investments in wireless communications, software infrastructure/applications, and consumer services. His current board responsibilities include EVDB, Personiva, Polaris Wireless, SugarCRM, and ViVOTech. Previously, Josh was a Vice President at Telephia and a Co-Founder, Director and the Chief Strategy Officer for ViaFone (XTND), a leading provider of wireless applications to Fortune 1000 enterprises. Josh has held positions in product management at Microsoft and NetObjects and was a management consultant in the San Francisco office of The Boston Consulting Group. Josh holds a BA from Dartmouth College and an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
Romulus Pereira
Romulus sits on the boards of various private companies providing expertise on overcoming technology and operational challenges. Prior to this, Romulus served as President & CEO of Riverstone Networks, and COO of Cabletron Systems, responsible for directing Cabletron’s engineering, sales, services, and marketing organizations. Romulus was a Co-Founder of YAGO Systems where he served as CTO. Before YAGO, he was at Cisco systems and Kalpana where he held multiple technical roles. Romulus holds a BS and MS degree in Computer Engineering from Santa Clara University.
Ravi Belani
ASSOCIATE, DRAPER FISHER JUVERTSON
Ravi is an Associate and Kauffman Fellow at Draper Fisher Jurvetson. Ravi brings experiences with new ventures and established firms to his role. Prior to Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Ravi worked in product management at Zaplet and Extensity and as a management consultant at McKinsey and Company’s San Francisco office. Ravi is a Phi Beta Kappa and Tau Beta Pi graduate of Stanford University, holding a BS with Distinction and MS in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management. Ravi also holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
